Full Mail Services

Provide your own private member to member community email. Upon sign-up, members will automatically be given an e-mail address on your system. They can use this as their primary means of communication with other members on the site, or they can link it directly to their regular e-mail address.

Our e-mail service lets you offer a mail package like Google G-Mail™, or Yahoo Mail ™ but completely under your brand and control.

E-Mail Features

Feature

Benefit
Mail notifications Increase site retention as users come back to the site for their community email.

"You have mail", notifications are sent to the member's regular e-mail address, enticing them to return to the site to read it. This includes forum messages directed to them and list server posts. Advanced users can set forwarding preferences and have their community e-mail automatically sent in full to their regular e-mail address.
Advanced mail notications Go beyond beyond simply knowing you have new mail.
  • Notification when mail comes from a specific person
  • Notification on mail with a particular subject line
The system will send your regular e-mail a notification that you have new mail from a certain userid or e-mail address. You might use this, for example, if you were awaiting an important message from your boss, a customer, Dr. Phil, the President, and wanted to know as soon as it arrives. In addition, you can set it up so that the e-mail address that you wish to receive the notification is your cell phone, or other SMS-enabled device.

The system can also send your regular e-mail, or cell phone, a notification that you have new mail when it matches a particular subject line. A salesperson might use this to send a message to his cell when a form message arrives with the topic of "Order". Or a support technician might want his cell to receive a notification for any e-mail that comes in with the topic of "Emergency".

A vey useful and powerful service.
Distribution lists E-mail distribution lists allow a member to mass-mail a single letter to groups of people at once. List types include Personal (where the user build his own private list), Mass Mailing (to users in and outside the community - usually by the Admin only), and system defined (DEVTEAM, SALES, etc.).
Delete Sent Messages Lets members recover from a "mistake".

Allows members who have mistakenly sent an e-mail to another member of the system, the ability to delete it, hopefully before the other member reads it. Oddly enough, some large providers (Facebook™) do not provide such an option much to the consternation of it's members.
Anonymity Provide a degree of anonymity, comfort and openness by letting people keep their community e-mail separate from their real e-mail address.

Some people probably don't want to give out their 'real' email address publically to other members for various communities they are involved in. Perhaps they don't want people to know they are a member of the 'Alcoholics Anonymous' community, or a business trading exchange might wish to keep identities of vendors secret. By using our internal e-mail and userid, it allows a degree of privacy as you can allow members to communicate without revealing each other's real e-mail address. You can even charge them for the correspondence if you wish.
SMTP & POP3 Mail Services SMTP & POP services means your members can use their own mail programs, like Microsoft Outlook™, to send and receive mail.

This is your own private mail server, built right into the system, and not a shared system with other customers, typical of ISPs/ASPs, that puts you at risk should they crash. Give yourself that extra protection you deserve.
Auto Forward A member can automatically forward email coming to his address here to any valid e-mail address. Even a cell phone.
Locks and Keys Access control Offer premium "pay" subscription services, or reverse it to pay/reward user for using the service.

Allows you to prohibit access to select email services and features: Reading, writing, attaching files, return receipts, carbon copies, using distribution lists, et. al.
Optional Credit Based Accounting Charge/reward users for: writing, reading, sending files, receiving files, requesting return receipts, writing a priority message, forwarding mail, using distribution lists.
Spam-Free Option By using the private email option you can guarantee a junkmail-free email service. Perfect for schools, family systems, or businesses. This is done by restricting any mail coming from outside the community members themselves, mail is only allowed between members.

If you wish to open up your system for external public mail, you can use our Spam Filtering services to reduce or eliminate the spam your users receive. In addition, mail coming from other members, or those you have written before are 'certified' with a special icon to differenetiate them from other mail, makign it easy for members to identify relevant mail. You could also use our Spam Mail-back verification service to completely eliminate spam forever. Ask about these advanced services.
Profanity Filtering Provide a safe, professional atmosphere.
Form-to-email Make information gathering easy.

Web pages can contain forms to gather input from users. You can easily create a web form page that will take the customer input and direct it to an e-mail address. This is good for feedback and contact forms, a suggestion box, or even an online order. You can also route this data to a text file, or a particular forum.

Best of all, our in-direct e-mail link protects your e-mail in-box from being discovered by spammers! Typically, when you use an e-mail address on a web site for form input, there's usually some HTML that contains the email address (like yourname@yoursite.com). Junk-mailers are constantly running search software that scans websites for these addresses so they can add them to their mailing list. Our web form link uses a userid without the telltale "@" sign that gives the mail link away. Spammers aren't looking for this, hence you are free to use your email as a link on a web site without fear!
E-mail Gateway Our mail engine can exchange mail/news with other systems such as the Novell Message Handling Service. This also allows you to create/link to external services you wish to import mail from. For example, you develop or have a service that writes e-mail to selected users (perhaps a reporting system, or product renewal message), to deliver these messages you service can simple drop an MHS formatted text file in the mail 'sweep' directory, and the mail will be properly delivered right to the user.
Forum Integration Engagement by drawing discussions into email. Users can optionally receive replies to public discussion groups via e-mail or private messages. Eliminates need to check multiple message areas. Integration with email makes the community an extension of the user's everyday work tools.
