Keep members informed

The Calendar allows members to maintain their own personal calendar, as well as view a System-wide global calendar, and shared group calendars.

With features such as automated e-mail reminders of events sent to your in-box or cell phone, you'll find the calendar a very useful tool for your community.

Global Calendar The entire user base can be informed of events. System events and meets are the number one way to insure revenue generating memberships are retained.

Calendar coordinator can create invites and events on the global calendar as well as insert those events into each members calendar.
Personal Calendar An e-glue feature that will keep users returning to your site. Global events propagate to the members calendars. Users can set their own event notifications.
Invitations Invites draw users back to your site

Each event on the calendar that the members create on the private calendar has an option to send invitations to the event.
Reminders The member’s calendar can set reminders to the email address configured . The email sent includes a link back to the calendar event entry.
Reminder to cell phone As mentioned above, the reminders can be sent to an e-mail, but also an SMS device (cell phone) via the cell phone's e-mail. This is a pretty handy feature to be sure you don't miss an event.
Recurring Reminders can be set to repeat every number of days, weeks, months or years. For example, you might wish to be reminded of an important even a week ahead of time, and then again the day before, just to be sure you don't forget.
Locks and Keys Access control Offer premium "pay" services, or reverse it to pay/reward user for using the service. Allows you to prohibit access to add events as well as reward for using.
Group calendars Integration with the Special Interest Groups module allows a shared calendar for a specific group of users.
Agenda Builds an agenda of upcoming events for the member, which also appear on the member's homepage.
Remind me! Links This allows you to place, on any web page, a “Remind me of this event” link, which will let the you easily create a reminder for that event. For example, if you were having a special chat event advertised on your home page, you could create a link below the ad to “Remind me of this event”, in which interested users could simply click to be reminded of the event as it nears.
