Keeping in touch with your visitors and customers makes the difference in today's competitive market. Our List Server add-on is an extremely powerful and efficient tool for worldwide group communication as well as information distribution.

You use our List Server primarily for:

·        E-mail Discussion lists – to enable a many-to-many virtual discussion via e-mail
(community in your customer’s In Box!)

·        One-way distribution lists – to broadcast email announcements or publications
(build brand and draw users back to your site)

E-mail Discussion Listserver

E-mail Discussion Lists create community interaction between members within their own e-mail In Box. It is similar to public discussion groups or bulletin boards, except that the messages are sent as e-mail and are therefore available only to members on the list.  Members join the list, then each member can send email to all list members by simply sending a message to the list address (something like mylist@yourcompany.com).

The true power of the discussion list is that your community-related conversation occurs in member’s e-mail In Box - bringing your community right into their “home” on the Internet.  It heightens your community profile, reinforces your brand, and increases engagement between members in your community.

Like message boards, the possibilities on how e-mail lists can be used for communication among groups of people are virtually endless:

Discussion lists can be unmoderated, where messages are distributed to automatically to all list members; or moderated, where each message must be approved by the list moderator.  There are only digest-only lists, where messages are compiled into one large message, emailed periodically – sort of like an email newsletter.

Distribution Listserver

Distribution Lists are efficient and effective method of distributing information within groups. Businesses, organizations and associations use list serves to distribute all kinds of information - announcements, meeting notices, newsletters, price increases, press releases, etc. Because members choose to join, the mailing list is populated by the people who want to receive the messages.  This increases your response, as the mail is not considered SPAM.  It is a form of Opt-in marketing.

Applications for list servers include the distribution of newsletters and e-zines, product update announcements, technical support, sales events, product brochures and even Permission-based (opt-in) email marketing.

The main advantage of listservers is the low level of human intervention required to maintain the lists. Users "subscribe" and are automatically added to the lists to which they want to belong. Once set up, the list serve is extremely easy to administer; adding and deleting names is easy, requiring no assistance from the hosting organization.  The members add and remove themselves from the list, relieving you from management hassles.

With a list server you can:

·        Bring users back to your site.  Send out teasers and ‘community happenings’ to draw users back to your community site.

·        Use newsletters to build brand loyalty.  As members add and remove themselves from the list you won’t have to juggle and maintain huge email distribution databases.

·        Benefit from viral marketing.  Word of mouth advertising occurs as members share discussion posts with friends.

·        Enhance of your promotions.  Distribute product announcements, promotional offers and special discounts.

·        Empower community members.  Create different electronic discussion groups for decision-making and feedback on special projects or workgroups.
