Information Server

An Info Server is an e-mail automated attendant or "mail-back" service that allows people to request information about your company, services, or products without your intervention. They simply send an e-mail to your Info Server (i.e. info@netvillage.com) and materials are automatically sent back to them as e-mail.

Why use on Info Server?

  • Give people yet another path (via e-mail) to access automated information about your services, without any processing cost.
  • Reach people who may not have access to the web. High costs and poor infrastructure overseas prevent web surfing for many overseas, but many still have access to e-mail.

    Topic Keywords The server scans the topic of the message and returns the appropriate message. Allows you to service multiple information request types.
    Help Topics When the info server receives a message with a subject that doesn't match any of the keywords, it will send out a response with a list of available keywords.
    Distribution List Database The info server keeps track of who requested information by adding them to a list distribution list. Allowing you to market to this targeted auidence.
    Optional Fee charge-back to List Owner You can charge a specific user a fee (in credits) whenever someone requests information from the Info Server. You can also charge an additional charge if the response contains a file. A revenue generator.
    Optional Distribution List usage fee You can surcharge a fee (in credits) for each message sent if the distribution list for an info server is used.
    Reporting Automatically generated to selected user monthly and on-demand.
